Vigil Contracting Services, Inc. initially started as Vigil Painting in 1963. At that time, John A. Vigil was the owner of the sole proprietorship. John A. Vigil started the company with the desire to control his own future and run his own company. No other members of John's family wished to venture into their own business, so John created Vigil Painting utilizing his past experience, determination, hard work and desire to create his own successful business.
For many years, John A. Vigil successfully ran Vigil Painting and specialized in all types of coating systems from paint, stain, two-component epoxies, drywall, tape & texture, to floor coatings.
Eventually, John's son, Juan became involved in the company. Initially, John and Juan worked together to continue Vigil Painting's success. As time progressed, Juan Vigil had the desire and took the initiative to obtain his general contractor's license. Juan Vigil obtained his general contracting license in 1997. Since that time, Vigil Painting has undergone many significant changes. In 2000, Loren Vigil joined the company full time. Loren brought many years of Corporate America experience from several different companies, computer expertise and an engineering degree from Stanford University. In 2001, Vigil Painting incorporated and became Vigil Contracting Services, Inc. In 2002, Vigil Contracting Services, Inc. restructured in order to allow John A. Vigil to retire. Juan Vigil was appointed president and primary owner and Loren Vigil was appointed vice-president of the corporation.
Since obtaining a general contracting license, Vigil Contracting Services, Inc. has increased its scope of work to include new housing, renovations, metal buildings, new commercial buildings and additions while specializing in painting, wood framing and stucco.
